Journalists in the Philippines are protesting, demanding better protection of press freedoms.

The government has accused the country’s biggest broadcaster, ABS-CBN of abusive practices and Congress will have to decide by early March whether to renew its license to operate.

This is not the first time ABS-CBN has faced this type of action, it was forcibly shut down during the time of former President Ferdinand Marcos.

Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports from Manila, the Philippines.
