To express their gratitude to their host country, Venezuelan migrants have been cleaning up bridges in the Peruvian capital of Lima, footage from Wednesday showed.
Venezuelans cleaned up handrails, swept surfaces and burned incense sticks to turn the often filthy smelly crossing points into more of a pleasant environment for the passersby.
Locals' reactions have been mixed so far.
"There are people who congratulate us and tell us what we are doing is great and as there are others who are annoyed with what we do," said a Venezuelan migrant who added that the majority of Peruvians have been supportive.
In return for their contributions, Venezuelans have reportedly been receiving donations in the form of money, food, and clothes.
