According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, US Vice President Mike Pence accused the United States' European allies of trying to break US sanctions against Tehran and urged them to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. During a conference on the Middle East organized by the United States, Pence said, "Sadly, some of our leading European partners have not been nearly as cooperative. In fact, they have led the effort to create mechanisms to break up our sanctions." The meeting in Warsaw was reportedly attended by over 60 nations, however major European powers such as Germany and France refused to send their top diplomats.
