Floods have forced more than four million people out of their homes across India, Nepal and Bangladesh. More than 130 people have been killed as torrential rain in the early days of the monsoon season has wreaked havoc. The Indian states of Assam and Bihar are among the worst hit. Officials in Nepal said flooding and landslides had killed at least 67 people. In northeastern India, floods killed at least 14 people and affected the daily lives of more than two million. In Bangladesh, at least a dozen people, most of them farmers, have died after being struck by lightning since the beginning of the monsoon rains.
