A large fire broke out on part of a pipeline operated by Indonesian state oil and gas company Pertamina in West Java, Tuesday, October 22, video footage from social media showed.

A Chinese construction worker operating a crane was killed in the fire, a local fire department official told Reuters by phone.
Local media said that a fire broke out on part of the pipeline due to nearby drilling activity from the construction of a China-funded $6 billion high-speed railway project linking Jakarta and Bandung. A Pertamina spokeswoman said the company will conduct investigations before concluding the cause of the fire. (Reuters)
