A leopard on the loose in southern India was caught and tranquilized, Monday, January 20.

The cat was spotted in Telangana state after it emerged from a nearby forest and ran into someone's house.

After people evacuated, wildlife officials launched a full-scale operation to catch the leopard as animals swarmed to the scene to watch.

The leopard was taken to a zoo. (AP)
