According to Business Insider, last month, Nova Scotia resident Barb Reddick sued her 19-year-old nephew Tyrone MacInnis after they won a $1.2 million lottery. Reddick, said that she put she put her nephew's name on the July winning ticket for "good luck" and she had originally agreed to split the winnings even if they won a small prize. Barbara Reddick has now sued her nephew Tyrone after winning the jackpot. Reddick had recently announced that she was taking MacInnis to court over the half a million dollars he was taking home, and she followed through with her claim. The court is still in session but for now, Justice Patrick Murray has frozen MacInnis's winnings until the case is resolved.
