One of the world's most famous tourist attractions - the Medieval Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris - has been engulfed in flames.
Firefighters managed to save the shell of the stone structure and its two main bell towers.
But distraught Parisians watched on as the roof and church spire collapsed.
