Rescuers continued their search for survivors under the rubble of the collapsed school building in Lagos on Wednesday, with at least 10 people confirmed dead.

About 40 pupils have been pulled out alive, according to officials.

Reports suggest that dozens more are trapped under wreckage.

Footage shows excavators searching for survivors, with residents and emergency services taking the injured to waiting ambulances in the area, and attempting to dig people out of the rubble.

The incident took place at around 10:00 local time (09:00 GMT) as classes were in session.
