Italian automobile manufacturer Calafiore Cars unveiled its first hypercar, the C10, at the Top Marques exhibition in Monaco, Thursday.
C10 designer Luigi Calafiore said that the vehicle is "totally built in carbon composite [material], along with a magnesium alloy and moulded aerospace aluminium," and that its engine produces 1,000 brake horsepower.
SOT, Luigi Calafiore, C10 designer (Italian): "Behind me there is 'Astrea', the C10 project that was conceived 7 years ago. Today we have unveiled a sneak peek my first hypercar, [that comes with] 1,000 horsepower and costs almost 1 million euros - without taxes. It is totally built in carbon [fibre] composite, along with a magnesium alloy and moulded aerospace aluminium."
SOT, Luigi Calafiore, C10 designer (Italian): "Its speed is self-limilited to 360km/h. As it has 1,000 horsepower, it's very light and it weighs around 1,200 kilograms. It reaches 100 km/h in about 2 seconds and it has all-wheel drive."
