On Friday, Mayim Bialik wrote an op-ed entitled "Being a Feminist in Harvey Weinstein's World" for The New York Times, in which she said she didn't find Weinstein's alleged "predation" surprising, and went on to state, "I have decided that my sexual self is best reserved for private situations with those I am most intimate with. I dress modestly. I don’t act flirtatiously with men as a policy." Oscar winner Patricia Arquette retaliated in a tweet, along with actress Gabrielle Union. Model and actress Amanda Duarte responded sarcastically to Bialik, congratulating her for being "too SMART to be PRETTY ENOUGH to get raped." The angry responses are hitting home for Bialik, who responded on Twitter that she did not intend to blame women for their sexual assaults based on their clothing choices.
