Massive Black Hole Stretches Starlight

According to Gizmodo, an international team has announced that a 26-year-long observation campaign has once again confirmed Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. Astronomers using the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) have witnessed a star orbit of what they presume to be a super massive black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy. The team has measured that the black hole’s gravity is pulling on the star’s light—the effect that Einstein’s theory predicted.
