Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort breached his plea deal, reports Reuters.
He did so by lying to federal investigators in a potential setback to the special counsel’s Russia probe.
The court filing from Monday state he mislead agents on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Manafort said he did not lie but agreed the court should sentence him for his crimes.
Without a pardon, the 69-year-old Manafort could spend the rest of his life in prison, experts said.
