According to Reuters, a man who guarded counter-protesters at a white nationalist rally warned a driver to leave the area.

But the driver of a Dodge Challenger made three passes around Jackson Park, before ramming his vehicle into a crowd of people gathered on a street.

James Alex Fields Jr. injured over a dozen people during the collision, including Heather Heyer who died from her injuries.

Fields is currently on trial for murder, malicious wounding, and malicious assault.

Dwayne Dixon, a self-styled anti-fascist, told the jury he saw the defendant in his vehicle, and yelled at him to leave the area.
