Mali's prime minister has declared three days of national mourning for victims of Monday's attack on a village which killed dozens of members of the Dogon ethnic group.

Intercommunal violence and revenge attacks between Dogon farmers and nomadic Fulani herders has claimed hundreds of lives in recent months.

More attacks have been reported in the Mopti region despite UN and Malian forces in the vicinity.

Al Jazeera's Nicolas Haque reports from the capital, Bamako.
