South Koreans are struggling to cope with abnormally high heat. The mercury topped 40 degrees Celsius in the nation's southeast on Tuesday. The government says it will go all out to combat the hot and muggy conditions. The heat wave is also raising concerns regarding energy supplies as residents resort to air conditioning and other cooling systems. President Moon Jae-in has ordered officials to include heat in the nation's disaster readiness alert system.
