A huge shark net is to be installed at a popular Thai tourist beach after a shark bit a swimmer. Thai authorities tried to claim the Norwegian tourist cut his leg on the rocks. After the local temple published a video showing sharks swimming in the area, the officials now admit it was a shark attack.
Currently, the beach is closed and warning signs posted. Next week, a shark net will be installed at the beach at Hua Hin, a popular tourist resort 200 kilometers south-west of Bangkok. The injured tourist is recovering in the hospital.
A website detailing shark attacks claims there have been two deaths and three injuries in the last five decades.
