Hong Kong police hold a press conference on recent protests.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government condemned violence and vandalism on Christmas Eve in the city, calling the destructive actions taken by rioters "outrageous." On Thursday, masked rioters stormed a restaurant in Mongkok MOKO mall, occupied the seats and made a nuisance of themselves by deliberately spilling salt and pepper. They also threw paint bombs inside the mall. Given their illegal actions, riot police entered the mall to restore order. #HongKong
