- At least 11 people, including three women, were wounded in a Wednesday morning explosion in Mogadishu. So far, no one is claiming responsibility for the incident.
- Iran fired a string of missiles at two military bases in Iraq that house American troops. The missiles were fired just hours after Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani was buried. The U.S. is assessing the damage from the missile strike.
- The WHO says the world's largest and fastest moving measles outbreak has now killed more than 6000 people. The DR Congo is ground zero for the outbreak.
