EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President Federica Mogherini holds a press conference ahead of an EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels on Monday, July 15.

Foreign ministers are expected to discuss Iran, in light of the recent developments concerning the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the so called Iran nuclear deal. The discussion follows a meeting of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA on June 28 and the recent announcement by Tehran that it was breaching the uranium enrichment limit set in the deal in the wake of the US withdrawal from the agreement.

The meeting’s agenda will also include the situations in Sudan, Ethiopia and Venezuela as well as the situation in Iraq, one year on from its parliamentary elections.
