Tripoli's Mitigia airport reopened on Thursday, three months after the latest missile attack targeting the vicinity in September.

"Today we resume air traffic from Tripoli's Mitiga international airport, as you can see we have a flight to Tunisia through the Libyan airlines as well as a flight to Istanbul on Afriqiyah Airlines which departed as scheduled."

Footage shows passengers going through check-in and passport control and boarding aircrafts belonging to Afriqiyah Airlines and Libyan airlines.

Mitiga airport was targeted several times in the fighting between the UN-recognised Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Libyan National Army (LNA) of General Khalifa Haftar.
