Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese and Mongolian counterparts, Xi Jinping and Khaltmaagiin Battulga, hold a trilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 19th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Bishkek on Friday.

The Mongolian side initiated the meeting, where the three leaders discussed trilateral cooperation and trade ties among other topics.

After the SCO summit in Kyrgyzstan, Putin, Xi, Central Asian leaders, and top officials from dozens of other countries will convene on June 15 in neighbouring Tajikistan, for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
