Roscosmos Spokesperson Mikhail Fadeev said that Russian Cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and US Astronaut Nick Hague are alive and well after being forced to perform emergency landing shortly after taking off from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan on Thursday.

"[They landed] somewhere near the town of Jezkazgan," he added.

The Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft carrying Ovchinin and Hague to the ISS suffered a booster failure shortly after take-off on Thursday, forcing the crew to carry out an emergency landing.
