A Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with the International Space Station (ISS) Expedition 59-60 crew aboard on Thursday.

The crew consists of NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Christina Koch, as well as Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin.

Hague and Ovchinin were forced to abort their Soyuz MS-10 mission to the ISS on 11 October 2018 when one of the first stage boosters on their rocket failed around two minutes after launch.

They both landed safely following ballistic re-entry.
