The Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft carrying Russian Cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and US Astronaut Nick Hague to the ISS suffered a booster failure shortly after take-off on Thursday, forcing the crew to carry out an emergency landing.

According to Head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin, the cosmonaut and astronaut landed safely, having returned to Earth in ballistic descent mode.
