According to Reuters, the Australian man accused of murdering worshipers at two mosques in New Zealand faces new charges.
Brenton Tarrant has now been charged with 50 counts of murder, and the 28-year-old was ordered to undergo a mental assessment.
He also faces 39 counts of attempted murder.
Tarrant carried out his attack in Christchurch on March 15, as Muslim worshipers attended Friday prayers.
Justice Cameron Mander remanded Tarrant in custody until June 14, while ordering a mental assessment to determine if he is fit for trial.
