Cabinet Secretary for information Communications Technology Mr. Joseph Mucheru paid a visit to CGTN's Africa Bureau in Nairobi. He discussed CGTN's importance on the African continent in delivering impartial and important news coverage of Africa. The Cabinet Secretary commented on the close ties between the Chinese and Kenyan government and said that the Country will continue supporting CGTN's mission on the continent. The Cabinet Secretary praised CGTN as a pioneer in Africa in portraying Africa's realities in a positive way. The CS said the government is committed in supporting CGTN's hosting of the continental bureau in Nairobi. CGTN's Africa Bureau Chief Mr. Huang Cheng said the Bureau was happy to receive the CS and look forward to continued collaboration. CGTN Africa began broadcasting in 2011 and broadcasts daily current affairs news , Faces of Africa, Business News and talk shows on African affairs.
