Jordan reclaimed two pieces of land - the enclaves of al-Baqoura and al-Ghumar - that were leased by Israel in a 1994 landmark peace accord, as announced by Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday. Footage filmed on Wednesday shows the border area between the two countries, in al-Baqoura.
Soldiers were seen on site, as well as Jordanian flags and pictures of King Abdullah II.
The 1994 treaty granted Israel a 25-year lease of the two areas, while they remained under Jordanian sovereignty.
King Abdullah II gave a one-year notice of termination in 2018, consequently not renewing the arrangement.
