Reuters reports that Japan on Thursday joined a growing list of countries that have restricted Boeing 737 flights. The Japanese transport ministry said all flights by Boeing Company's 737 MAX 8 and 9 aircraft are banned from its airspace. The declaration comes days after the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash that killed 157 people.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday joined Europe, China, and other nations in suspending 737 MAX flights based on satellite data and evidence from the scene of the crash for its decision.
