Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hosted a dinner for the delegates participating in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development in the Japanese city of Yokohama on Thursday.

"I hope you all enjoy the form of Japanese food which has been registered with the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO and another form of culture representing Japan, which is [the] 'kimono'," said Abe before treating the African delegates and other present authorities to an African-themed kimono show.

The Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development, TICAD 7, is scheduled to take place from August 28-30 under the theme "Africa and Yokohama, sharing passion for the future."
