Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe reiterated his pledge to help African countries boost development, while delivered the closing remarks at the end of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Yokohama, south of the capital, on Friday.

"We will be happy to provide all our support for the advancing of Africa in various form, we hope that we will be able to see a productive and meaningful outcome or results," said Abe.

The Japanese leader also thanked the participants of the conference for their 'active participation' and 'input', adding that the Yokohama Declaration Action Plan had also been adopted.
