Gunmen have killed nearly 100 people in an attack on a village in the Mopti region in central Mali.
Houses of traditional Dogon hunters were burnt down during Sunday's violence.
Mali has experienced several sectarian clashes in recent months. Groups allied to al-Qaeda have also launched raids.
The UN has described it as "an act of unspeakable barbarism".
