Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte unveiled his new cabinet, after the new Italian coalition government was formed, during a statement at the Quirinale Presidential Palace in Rome on Wednesday, after meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Conte's cabinet includes 5 Star Movement (M5S) leader Luigi Di Maio as Foreign Minister, the Interior Ministry - formerly held by League leader Matteo Salvini - will go to former prefect of Milan, Luciana Lamorgese, who has no political affiliation.
Italy precipitated in a political crisis when former Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Salvini pulled the plug on the government's alliance, in a bid to call an autumn election and capitalise on the position of his League party in the polls.
