Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran had destroyed what he called its new 'secret nuclear site' in Abadeh. Netanyahu was speaking at a news conference in Jerusalem on Monday.

"In this site, Iran conducted experiments to develop nuclear weapons. This is the site near Abadeh, south of Isfahan, when Iran realised that we uncovered this site. Here is what they did. They destroyed the site. They just wiped it out. They wiped out the site where they conducted nuclear experiments on nuclear weapons," said Netanyahu showing aerial images of the alleged site.

"I call on the international community to wake up, to realise that Iran is systematically lying. And I call on the international community to join President Trump's sanctions to exert more pressure on Iran. The only way to stop Iran's march to the bomb and its aggression in the region is pressure, pressure and more pressure," added Netanyahu.

The announcement came a day after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it found traces of uranium in what Netanyahu had previously flagged as 'Iran's secret nuclear warehouse.
