The often-violent protests which have gripped Iraq in the past month show no sign of abating as anger over poor living conditions bubbles over.

Despite repeated calls for Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi's resignation, he says he will only do so once a successor is named.

And now the protesters want him to take responsibility for the demonstrators killed.
