Hundreds of protesters continued to cut off streets on bridges in Baghdad on Thursday, as the wave of protests continues in the Iraqi capital.

Footage shows the protesters on the Muhammad al-Qasim road in central Baghdad, setting up obstacles on the road and setting tyres on fire. According to reports, at least 10 people were rushed to a hospital with injuries related to smoke inhalation.

Unrest in Iraq began in October, amid anger over corruption and economic inequality. Over 400 protesters have been killed and thousands more injured during demonstrations.
