Spectators watched hot air balloons take to the skies in New Mexico on Sunday, as they attended the second day of the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
The annual event kicked off on Saturday, but balloons were mostly tethered to the ground because of fog.
The fiesta draws pilots from around the world and from 41 U.S. states.
Organizers were expecting tens of thousands of spectators for opening weekend and many more over the course of the nine-day event. (AP)
