Anti-government protesters in Hong Kong are promising to fight on.

Chief Executive Carrie Lam was forced to withdraw a proposed extradition bill that would have sent suspects to mainland China.

Since then, the protests, which show no sign of waning, have turned into a broader fight for democratic freedoms.
