Hong Kong police fired tear gas at protesters who gathered outside of a police station, Wednesday, August 14. The protesters were shining laser beams at the police station and burning joss papers on the road. The demonstration was billed as a “religious laser light vigil,” and was meant to mock police warnings that the laser lights can start fires.
