Honduras sent humanitarian aid to Venezuela on Friday, March 1, 2019, with the intention of contributing to the alliance of countries that promote the departure of President Nicolás Maduro and support opposition leader Juan Guaido, recognized by more than 50 countries as the interim president, the Foreign Ministry reported. Three Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft, donated by the United States, took off with cargoes of hygiene products, such as diapers for children and adults, among other things, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry. The planes departed for Colombia, where products from various countries have been stockpiled, because the Maduro government has put a blockade on aid entering Venezuela. (AFP)
