According to Reuters, a helicopter that fell short of its landing pad crashed into the Hudson River in New York City on Wednesday, injuring two people. In a Twitter message, the city Fire Department wrote that the helicopter’s pilot and a heliport worker suffered “non-life-threatening” injuries in the incident. In a separate tweet, the department said that the pilot was the only person aboard the helicopter at the time of the crash. Images of the scene showed the aircraft upside-down and partially submerged in the river as crews worked to secure it.
