Dozens of residents from the Greek island of Lesbos partook in a strike on Monday, to protest against the government's policy regarding the thousands of refugees who are stranded on the island during dangerous weather conditions, Monday.

Authorities called on all residents to go on strike after releasing a statement that describes Lesbos as an "island prison". The island's residents decried the country's inability to move the refugees on despite the coming winter.
