Refugees are facing sub-zero temperatures at a refugee camp near Thessaloniki, Greece, as seen in footage filmed over the past two days.

The overcrowded Diavata refugee camp in Thessaloniki houses 1,410 refugees, reportedly over twice its capacity of 700 occupants.

With temperatures in the area plunging well below zero, and a thick blanket of snow engulfing the camp, refugees have taken to burning bits of scrap in a bid to stay warm.

Two people were injured on Monday after a fight reportedly broke out as refugees protested their living conditions.
