Clashes erupted between police and students in Athens on Thursday, during a march marking the 10th anniversary of the deadly shooting of 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos by a policeman in the central Exarchia district.
Thousands of students took to the streets of the Greek capital to take part in the march. Clashes erupted between the participants and riot police, who used tear gas as a dispersal method.
Demonstrators marched to the Greek parliament, in memory of the teenager whose killing in December 2010 caused violent riots in Athens and across other Greek cities.
At least 10 people were allegedly detained.
