Doing the right thing sometimes means putting morality above even family. An old man in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region made this difficult decision when he turned in his terrorist grandson, who had killed a person for so-called "jihad".

The China Global Television Network (CGTN) recorded the moment and aired the video footage on Thursday in the documentary "Fighting Terrorism in Xinjiang".

On Sept.18, 2015, terrorists attacked a local coal mine in the Baicheng County, killing 16 people, including three policemen and injuring 18 others.

Turghun, a participant and also the only survivor among the gang members, recalled the horrible incident. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20191208/8129355.shtml#!language=1
