Government to review all robodebts based on ATO income averaging

The computer-driven scheme that was to hit up to a quarter-of-a-million people with welfare debts is in for a major overhaul.

On the eve of court cases against the so-called "robo-debt" system, the Government's backed-down, ordering more rigorous checks before demands are made on people to repay any money.
