When it comes to the growing trend of adding plant-based food to restaurant menus, this company is saying “Go fish!”

Red Lobster, the world’s largest seafood chain is passing on the idea, calling plant-based seafood “terrible.”

The head honcho recently said that in an interview with CNBC, adding that after looking into plant-based seafood, the chain won’t be adding it to their lineup.

Other major chains are digging their claws into the plant-based market like Burger King, which just added the Impossible Whopper, made without any meat.

And Dunkin’ just announced a new 100% plant-based Beyond Breakfast Sausage in a partnership with Beyond Meat.

It’s not like Red Lobster is being crabby about the whole thing, the CEO says they’re already offering something healthier than plant-based foods but admits that sticking with plants is healthier than eating red meat.

As far as plants go, it looks like they’re off the hook at Red Lobster!
