The US Army's Second Armoured Brigade Combat Team made a service stop in Magdeburg on Wednesday, before continuing on their way to Poland as part of NATO's 'Atlantic Resolve' operation.

Military vehicles can be seen being serviced and refuelled.

Lt. Sandoval of the 18th Combat Sustainment Battalion explained the purpose of the stop, saying: "we get the vehicles, we fuel them up, we give them food, we let the soldiers bed down, so we're like a truck stop. From there, they'll push on to the next CSC, until they get to their destination, which for them will be Poland."

The Second Armoured Brigade Combat Team, dubbed 2ABCT, will join NATO's Atlantic Resolve operation, stationed in Europe since 2014 in the light of geopolitical tensions with Russia.
