Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Tesla has almost completed levelling the ground at the Gigafactory 4 site in Gruenheide, in footage from Tuesday.
Several construction vehicles could be seen on the site, including in drone footage, as Tesla ploughed on to enable it to start building its first factory in Europe.
The factory, based near Berlin, was met by protests at the start of the year, and several employees from the US were withdrawn amid the coronavirus spread.
Construction work is still permitted to continue, despite strict coronavirus measures across most of Europe. The factory completion was originally set for July, but this has not yet been revised. The foundations for the factory are expected to be laid following the completion of the ground-levelling.
