The stars and crew of the new rendition of the classic film 'Pinocchio' arrived for the film's world premiere at the Berlinale Palast for the 70th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), in the German capital on Sunday.
Star Roberto Benigni and director Matteo Garrone, led the red carpet event for the world premiere of Pinocchio and signed autographs for fans, posed for selfies and gave interviews to the media.
Pinocchio is a 2019 Italian fantasy film co-written and directed by Garrone, based on the 1883 book The Adventures of Pinocchio by Italian author Carlo Collodi. Funnyman and living legend Roberto Benigni plays the heartwarming role of Gepetto in this rendition of the beloved fantasy story.
The 70th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, also known as Berlinale, which closes on March 1st, will screen around 400 movies and present eight awards in different categories.
